Toontown Online was an online-based, massively multiplayer online role-playing game, free-to-play game that was released as beta in Summer of 2001 but then publicly released on June 2, 2003.
Since then, It was known to become the first ever "MMORPG for kids", winning tons of awards that this game had achieved for their kid-friendly environment.
Due to the team wanting to focus on mobile-play experiences and game losing popularity, Toontown closed September 19, 2013, following an announcement a month earlier.
